About Our Farm

Bette-lyn is the owner (and pen cleaner) of Farm Ventures, along with her husband Albert (driver and technical support). Farm Venture began as a way of sharing their hobby farm with children and the public after their two own children departed for university. There wasn't the slighest chance of Bette-lyn and Albert becoming empty nesters. Operating since 2010, Farm Ventures is an off-shoot of Mystique Andalusians, an equine breeding program running for over 2 decades.

Even as a young child, Bette-lyn has always had a love for animals (her inspiration from the original Dr. Doolittle movie with Rex Harrison). After starting Mystique Andalusians, she continued to be involved in many associations and is an member in Northwest Andalusian Horse Association (Education Chair, Show Chair, Canadian Director, Vice President and President), Canadian Association of the Pure Raza Espanol Horse  & Spanish Stud Book (Vice President), Pacific Association of the Andalusian and Lusitano Horse (Fiesta Chair, Education Chair, Executive Director, and National Show Chair) and the Sunshine Coast Equestrian Club (Secretary and Vice President English). With her free time, Bette-lyn enjoys traversing the trails on her mare, Mystique's Lindeza.
